ABOUT ME
Janine is an illustrator, creative designer & professional doodler currently located in Brooklyn, New York. She has had work published with HarperCollins, HitRECord.org & Potboiler LLC. Her "Not Myself" Tiny Illustration was featured in The Tiny Book of Tiny Stories: Volume 3 by Joseph Gordon-Levitt & Wirrow.
Always seeking out ways to expand her creative palettes, whether through nostalgic cinematography to painting with Assam black tea, she hopes to continue her learning through art & storytelling. Studying botanicals, cuddling with her cat, Juniper, and rollerskating are just a few hobbies she enjoys in her free time.
EXPERIENCE
I mean the experience has been since I was 3 years old, doodling hand shapes, Goofy and flowers sprawled out on my mum’s living room carpet but professionally speaking…
I have a Bachelors Degree from Fashion Institute of Technology. While there, I honed my skills in illustration, digital design, mixed media, painting, typography and more. I also had the privilege of studying abroad in Florence, Italy (✨swoon✨) observing up close the master painters of the Renaissance era.
Most of my creative inspiration comes from awkward/dark humor (the best kind), quirky personality traits, ‘right in the feels’ kind of music and that nostalgic feeling of going to blockbuster.
